On-street parking and pay and display car parks

There are no maximum stay restrictions for most on street pay and display bays, however, you must refer to local signage for further information. Please tender the correct money if paying by cash as no change is given and failure to display a valid ticket will result in a Penalty Charge Notice being issued.

Multi-storey car parks

The Council's multi-storey car parks are safe, secure and easy to use. When you return to the car park, take the ticket issued on entry to one of the pay stations. These accept cards, coins, notes and issue change.

81 fast EV charge points are available across levels 2-5 of Broad Marsh Car Park, along with a vehicle management system of electronic signs and lights showing available parking spaces. 720 solar panels also provide renewable electricity to power the car park and bus station, helping you to make sustainable travel choices.

Motorcycle parking

On street parking is free within dedicated motorcycle and pay and display bays. Unless signage indicates otherwise, there are no maximum stay restrictions. Motorcycles must be parked in the secure cage at Lace Market Car Park and in the designated motorcycle area at Trinity Square Car Park. To park in Broad Marsh motorcycles must use the correct entry lane and press the intercom at the barrier to gain entry, there are specific motorcycle bays on every level. No charge applies.

Broad Marsh Car Park Drop Off and Pick Up

There are 6 spaces allocated for drop off and pick up located on the first floor next to the lift lobby. These spaces are painted blue with DO (Drop Off) clearly displayed and a 20-minute grace period of free parking is allocated for this activity. You must take a ticket on entry and present the ticket at the exit column. After the period of 20 minutes normal parking charges apply.

Car park permits
For regular users of our multi-storey car parks, the cheapest option for parking may be one of our parking permits. Permit parking is available at our Multi Storey car parks starting at £109.00 and at our surface car parks with prices starting at £65.00 a month for unlimited use of your selected car park. On-street parking permits
A limited number of on-street parking permits are available for selected city centre streets, offering regular customers the ultimate convenience. Blue Badge Holder parking

You can park for free in any on-street pay and display parking bay as long as a valid Blue Badge is clearly displayed.

Please note: specific ‘Disabled-only’ parking bays may have time restrictions so always check on-street signage and notices.

Coach parking

Providing the wheels are within the parking bay marking, coaches, minibuses and motorhomes are not prohibited from parking on street. However, due to their size this is not recommended.

Coach and minibus parking is available at the Queens Park and Ride site NG2 1AP but must be booked 24 hours in advance by emailing busfacilities@nottinghamcity.gov.uk or call Queens Drive on
